A great charity & a great event

Davis Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics by Eileen was recently invited to a nonprofit charity fashion show benefitting Girls Rock NC.   Intrigued, we checked out this unheard of charity and were very impressed by what we saw.  Impressed enough to all attend the fab fashion show and donate $3000.

Girls Rock NC is a nonprofit organization that encourages girls 7 to 17 to be confident, creative members of their communities. Girls make bands, have workshops in teamwork, body confidence, songwriting, zine-making, DIY clothing, recording, Tech Talk and more! — All to empower girls! They want girls to be creatively supported, and they are  there to help mentor them as they become confident, expressive young women.

What a fantastic charity!  Some of the girls were even there singing and playing instruments during the fashion show.  Girls Rock NC not only looks for cash donations to help support the camp by musical instrument donations for the girls.  It is widely known that learning in instrument and reading music in our youth enhances IQ and confidence.
