Shasta Spivey, 29, from Sanford, NC decided to get a tummy tuck and breast augmentation after delivering her fourth child. “Nursing took its toll on my breasts and 4 pregnancies wreaked havoc on my abdomen. Even after losing all the baby weight, I didn’t have a body that looked anything like my own. The hardest part about seeing what had happened to my body was that all the exercise and healthy food in the world couldn’t help me regain anything close to my pre-pregnancy shape.”
Spivey, a professional blogger, is part of a growing number of women undergoing some form of a ‘Mommy Makeover,’ a combination of select plastic surgery procedures that restore, or improve, their post-pregnancy bodies.
Right around 4 months out from her surgery she is back to her usual intense workout regime and is looking forward to wearing her bathing suit this summer with her newly found confidence. Spivey, who writes the blog www.Faithfullyfrugal-and-free.com (and even blogged about her surgery and recovery!) even has gone back for a bit more. She’s added some Botox® injections to her post-surgical visits with Dr. Davis. “A little Botox in my crow’s feet will help to ensure I can get away with a few more 29th birthdays!”
