Brazilian Butt Lift

Whether you feel your lower body curves don’t match your upper body as well as you’d like, or you’re unhappy with the change that’s occurred in your bottom with time or age, a Brazilian butt lift can help. Through the use of autologous fat grafting — that is, using fatty tissue from your own body — Dr. Jeremy Pyle or Dr. Benjamin Wood can give your buttocks a firmer, rounder shape that’s more in line with your cosmetic goals.

Please Request a Consultation to learn more about the positive changes Dr. Pyle or Dr. Wood can make in your appearance using fat grafting for buttocks augmentation from our Raleigh, NC practice.

The Best Candidates

The best candidates for buttocks augmentation are likely unhappy with their current figure, and would like to look better in clothes and swimsuits or ensure more proportionate contours. A Brazilian butt lift can also help correct a bottom that looks too flat or square, or that’s changed shape due to aging or fluctuations in weight over the years.

Although the ideal candidates will be in good overall physical and mental health, patients considering a Brazilian butt lift must also have enough fatty deposits elsewhere on the body for Dr. Pyle or Dr. Wood to transfer fat cells during the procedure. Not everyone is a candidate for buttocks augmentation through fat grafting, so it’s important to maintain realistic expectations about your results. Sometimes, Dr. Pyle or Dr. Wood may recommend additional or different procedures to bring out the best in your body, such as a tummy tuck or a full Mommy Makeover. Dr. Pyle or Dr. Wood will work closely with you to ensure that you have all the information you need to make the choice that’s right for you.

What to Expect

A Brazilian butt lift is actually a two-part surgery. First, Dr. Pyle or Dr. Wood uses liposuction to collect fat cells, typically from areas like the thighs, flanks or waistline, handling them very gently in order to ensure a high level of cell viability during the transfer. As an added bonus, the donor area will be more finely contoured following the collection process, which will better frame the results of your buttocks augmentation.

The second stage of the surgery involves processing the fat cells to remove impurities and prepare them for transfer. Not all the fat cells will be good candidates for reinjection. Dr. Pyle or Dr. Wood will carefully transfer the viable cells into the buttocks, placing each individual injection very carefully to create the desired contours as well as encourage better absorption rates. Because the process of fat grafting has so many variables, it’s essential to choose a surgeon who’s well-versed in the process like Dr. Pyle or Dr. Wood.

After Your Procedure

Just like the surgery itself, the healing process after a Brazilian butt lift really consists of two parts: the necessary liposuction and the buttocks augmentation. The incisions Dr. Pyle or Dr. Wood makes to accommodate the liposuction cannula will be quite small, and any injection points used during the fat transfer process should be unnoticeable. Depending on the extent of the liposuction, you may feel a bit bruised or sore, and it’s a good idea to avoid sitting or lying down on your backside right after surgery. Dr. Pyle or Dr. Wood will ask you to wear a special compression garment to encourage your lower body into its new shape.

The results of a Brazilian butt lift are long-lasting, although some patients may benefit from a second round of injections if a greater volume of fat cells is needed to achieve your desired results.
